This is an original Japanese chirashi (mini poster) for the Herschell Gordon Lewis Tokyo Festival theatrical re-release.
Printed on high-quality paper and distributed exclusively at Tokyo movie theatres to commemorate the re-release of several of Lewis's landmark splatter films. Screenings included Blood Feast, Color Me Blood Red, 2000 Maniacs, The Wizard of Gore, and The Gore Gore Girls. Lewis, often called the Godfather of Gore, pioneered the splatter genre in the 1960s, and this chirashi represents a rare intersection of Japanese film culture and American exploitation cinema history.
